How do I work?

My therapeutic approach is always tailored to the individual and their specific challenges. I see myself as a catalyst: it is not I, as the psychologist, who heals, but rather the child or adult who finds their own capacity to heal within the safe space I provide. In this environment, clients learn to understand and transform their feelings, behaviors, and relationships with the culture and context they live in. My role is to witness, support, challenge, and encourage—when they are ready to allow me to do so.

I most often draw on supportive psychodynamic therapy, a systemic perspective, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. This means I help clients not only gain insights into the roots of their difficulties but also learn practical strategies for change.

In my experience, difficulties usually arise from a combination of several factors. Together, we work to understand these influences and create new, more empowering meanings. Context is always central to my practice: the socio-cultural, historical, and environmental dimensions of a person’s life, as well as the client–therapist relationship itself, are key to the healing process.
